Homemade Tiramisu

Was craving for this Tiramisu dessert and went out to hunt for the ingredients for it. Thank goodness the dessert was a success. XD



The ingredients:

500gm mascarpone cheese
4 egg yolks
300g sponge fingers
coffee powder
cocoa powder
Irish cream

I've made this a few times before in Sheffield but this was the first time I've made it in Klang.

Step by step of making it below:


Whisk mascarpone cheese for a while until it became smooth.


Beat the egg yolks with some sugar in a separate bowl. Then, add the egg yolks into the mascarpone cheese and whisk til it was smooth again.


Mix in the Irish cream.


I poured about 6 bottle caps into the mix. Reduce or add more bottle caps to cater your own preference.


Add hot water into coffee powder; and lightly soften the sponge fingers in the coffee.


Add a base of mix into a container; and arrange the sponge fingers on the base. Cover with a layer of the mix and repeat the step.


Second layer.


After everything is done, place the Tiramisu into the fridge for a few hours to chill. 4 hours should be sufficient.

.... A few hours later....

Sprinkle with cocoa powder before serving.


.. and it's done! My first homemade Tiramisu in Klang. ^^
