Golden Gate Bridge

San Francisco Day Two

The very first place we went is the Golden Gate Bridge!!

Think this is one of the photographed bridge in the world, coz in just an hour or so, I've captured more than 150 pictures at that very place! The Golden Gate Bridge is such an iconic symbol of San Francisco that no one tourist or people that visit SF can miss it... =)

We took a bus to GGB at 8-ish in the morning and I was so excited even when I saw the bridge from afar! hahahah...

There were already many cars flocking the parking area when we reached. It's not too bad considering by the time we left, there were A LOT of tour buses around. Hahaha...

Why are we so high up? Well, the answer is this....

The 'Roundhouse' information and souvenirs centre... Bought a commemorative souvenir coin which costs a lot than I expected coz I saw the wrong price for it fml T_T

The weather was very good. Bright and sunny and I have not forgotten to apply sunblock that morning! *proud* Even though I've put on sunblock, but I still refuse to take off my cardigan coz the sun was just too glaring. It was good nonetheless (for photos!!) Just imagine if it was a rainy day, our pictures will turn out so gloomy and boring...

A collage of myself, Ling and the Golden Gate Bridge...

After taking about a zillion pictures of the bridge, we decided to walk on the GGC itself. =)

A sign that show the opening times of the bridge for pedestrian and cyclists.

Walked a bit then turn back to our original place coz it's too much sun, and bright, and hot... Hhhmm, basically we're lazy actually! LOL

A very distinctive colour, you can see it from far coz it's very hard to be missed...

The colour of the Golden Gate Bridge is actually not red – it’s an orange vermillion called International Orange. The colour was chosen specifically because it complements the bridge’s natural surrounding yet enhances its visibility in the fog. (Info taken from a tourist site) XD

Some pictures as we stroll at the place..

Beautiful and scenic view from the bridge...

Oh and the picture below is one of my favourite that morning!

Before I conclude, we're considered very lucky we went there early coz when we were done taking pictures, there were a few buses filled with tourists arrived! hahaha...

More walking to do for the rest of the day! Tired, but GREAT FUN nonetheless... XD
